We work with governments, international development banks, including The World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners in the international development and humanitarian assistance sector to help communities build resilience to natural disasters.

We are currently seeking a Regional Admin/Finance Assistant who has a passion for international development and humanitarian work to become a member of our growing and dynamic, global International Programs team. This position will be based in Costa Rica.

The duties of this position are important to the successful growth of Miyamoto’s International Programs team. Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:

Support to International Programs Team:

  • Work closely with and support a global team by handling team administrative tasks, including supporting compliance with U.S. Government and other multilateral organization’s contracts; filing and other operational systems;
  • Formatting of reports and technical deliverables for donor-funded programs;
  • Provide support to Miyamoto’s program management and finance teams on invoice review, contract management and procurement processes;
  • Support country teams in the region with the procurement process;
  • Support country teams in budget management;
  • Communicate directly with country teams to support in these processes;
  • Support the team with Spanish to English and English to Spanish translations;
  • Other specific and transitory tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in international development, business management, accounting, administration, or a related field
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing skills
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish
  • Enthusiastic, resourceful self-starter and multi-tasker with excellent organization and planning skills, as well as the ability to be flexible and problem solve independently
